White, S.D., Area Veterans Memorial
Located on the south side of Main Street in White, South Dakota, this memorial recognizes all veterans, especially those with ties to this farming community northeast of Brookings, South Dakota.

The inscription on the anchoring rock below the American flag reads:
"This memorial honors all Americans veterans who, although separated by generations, shared a common, undeniable goal - to valiantly protect our country's freedoms.
The memories of these American veterans will continue to live on whenever and wherever democracy exists.
The American veteran - forever a symbol of heroism, sacrifice, loyalty and freedom."
